If you are running an internet business then, just like any other business, you should consider printing up business cards about the website and your ebook product (or other digital goods product). At the very least, printing up business cards demonstrates to yourself and others that you are running a business and that you are serious about your business. Business cards also help you promote your product to others. While traditional advertising, in my opinion, is not the most effective means of promoting a web-based business, people do tend to hang on to business cards for quite a bit longer than their memory of a commercial lasts.
When you choose your business card design, do so with the intention of making something people will hold on to and notice. Cheap business cards often find their way to the trash much quicker than expensive ones. Of course, gaudy business cards may get thrown away just as quickly as cheap ones, but gaudy cards may at least get noticed.
Consider adding something useful to the card like a calendar or similar item so that people will consider it valuable and keep the card. The longer they keep it, the better chance you have of making it pay off with visits to your site and sales of your product.
