eBook internet marketing strategy no. 1 - Create a website about the ebook
To sell your ebook, your number one means of generating sales will be through your own website. Selling your ebook on your own website also allows for complete control of your sales. You do have the option to sell your ebook through third parties. For example, you can add your product to clickbank and have affiliates sell it for you. You can upload your ebook to several ebook venders and have them sell your product. You can sell your ebook on ebay. I've had the most success with selling my ebook on my own website. Every day that passes it becomes harder and harder to get traffic to a new website. Although more and more people are coming online, more and more webmasters are creating websites. This rush to develop websites is part of what I call, "the Adsense Gold Rush." Google Adsense allows webmasters to place ads on their websites. Google determines what ads are relevant to your website and places them there. When viewers click on the ads, the webmaster is paid for each click. Some ads are more lucrative than others. In fact, some ads can be very lucrative per click. There are stories of some people quitting their day job. Some are making six figures from Google Adsense. A lot of people want to be part of this Adsense Gold Rush. If you were lucky enough to start a website years ago on a lucrative topic and generate traffic of at least 10,000 to 20,000 unique visitors a day, you can make a lot of money for just having a website orbit in cyberspace. There are a flood of new websites coming online everyday. All these new websites make it harder for your new site to been seen. Your biggest challenge will be getting traffic to your new site and this will require a number of marketing strategies.
I go into much more detail in my publication on these strategies but suffice it to let me list a few. I come up with more such strategies as often as I can. You have to be constantly creative in this area.
