In March, Yahoo raised its domain renewal fees to $12.95 a year. I didn’t like it but I decided I could live with it. Now, I just received notice that in July, Yahoo will raise its domain renewal fee to $34.95 a year. What a bunch of bullshit!

I’m in the process of transferring all my domains from Yahoo. I wouldn’t be surprised if they were trying to pad their value in order to look like a real bargain to Microsoft.

I’ve read posts from some people claiming to have quit their day job as a result of enormous adsense earnings. A lot of people inflate their max bench press by at least 25% as well. For that matter, people exaggerate about all sorts of things. Human nature is to exaggerate – to make ourselves seem better than we really are.

In my opinion, not many people quit their day job as a result of huge adsense profits because their day job is running websites to begin with. In other words, if you are making beaucoup adsense bucks, it’s because your main job is running websites. In my opinion, there are very few people who can hold down a 9 to 5 and somehow find the time to make one or more websites profitable enough to later quit that 9 to 5′er – unless you’re making $8 an hour at McDonald’s. You might be able to leave that job behind.

I just released my latest ebook – “79 tips to break 80 in golf.” When you pick a topic that you know well and are passionate about, your ebook almost writes itself. I cranked this one out pretty quickly, but I’m probably forgetting about all the text that I had written for the websites beforehand. I took a lot of this text and rewrote it for the book. One of my secrets about writing ebooks is to develop the website (that you will use for promotion purposes) and the ebook simultaneously. You can then use some of your website content as ebook content. The advantage is that you get to rewrite the website content for your ebook.

Anyhow, I am really happy with this ebook and am sure that many will find its contents very helpful in improving their golf game.
